TransportSolver® is set to change the face of public transit scheduling when it is released later this year.

Designed to scale from the smallest local transit operator up to national carriers, TransportSolver® provides a true service-based scheduling solution for today’s demanding transit operators.

The planned service model is believed to be unique in the transit software industry. Current competitor vendor offerings require a large capital investment in both licensing and IT infrastructure to support their systems. Support costs include onsite maintenance and each implementation typically requires an expert project team to tune the package code to specific operator regulations and rules. Customisation of driver rules and reports all add up to an expensive investment!

TransportSolver® takes a sharply different approach. Being a true S+S solution, in most cases the upfront infrastructure investment required for established transit offices is zero. The service provision model is very flexible, based on expected demand, required availability and the size and complexity of the transit operations. There is no hard-coded programming required, the entire package can be configured visually by transit operator staff themselves.

There is also no need for hefty upfront license purchases or perpetual maintenance agreements. You simply pay per analysis. Hence the investment in TransportSolver® is directly proportional to the usage patterns of the transit operator. If you require gruelling scenario analysis for an upcoming bid or tender preparation, TransportSolver® can scale to meet demand.

The initial release of TransportSolver® is expected late 2010. For further details regarding TransportSolver®, or if you are interested in signing up for pre-release testing, please contact Applicate IT
